Thank you to Tech Superpowers for hosting the Operators Club in their South End space in July, to Kristen Craft @ Fidelity for Startups for hosting our first community breakfast in August (excited for Oct!), and thank you to Vickrum Nabar, Eduardo Canet & Christian Williams from JP Morgan for putting together a dinner in September for the Operators Club and local Seed stage founders
The fastest growing A.I. companies I’m seeing in Boston have a vertical application specific focus (automating process or legacy industries) and/or tooling focus (picks & shovels) for machine learning & A.I. teams
With fewer funding announcements and less hiring, operators will need to work harder to figure out the best companies to work for, partner with, and learn about. If you’re in it for the long haul, this is a good thing!!
The Klaviyo IPO was a big moment for Boston tech this quarter after a chilly 2022. I bet most people didn’t realize how good their numbers were. Go team!
September has some amazing events to kick off the fall - HubSpot INBOUND, Startup Boston Week, Underscore’s Core Summit, and more. Looking forward to September 2024!!
We’ll leave it there for now. To Q4! Then 2024! Too fast!!
Any feedback for me? One thing you liked? One thing you didn’t? Local startups or operators to highlight? Just reply to this e-mail!
See you next week!
